April 14, 2008
Just a quick update on the registration for this years Cub Resident Camp. I realize the payment due date is May 1, 2008 but I wanted to inform everyone that the first session for Wolfs/Bears is closed due to full registration. Please make sure if you still have Wolfs/Bears to register that they are informed it will be for the second session (June 25-27). Even though they will be at camp one less night, they will have exactly the same program as the first session. The Webelos session is still open, however we are getting close to being full.
We have a Pre-Camp Leaders Meeting on May 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trading Post at Camp Rock Enon.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at camp. Don't forget those cute and wacky space costumes, skits, and songs.
Our mission is; to strengthen dens and packs by introducing Cub Scouts and Webelos to outdoor skills, thus insuring the overall enhancement of Cub Scout/Webelos goals, including citizenship, character development, conservation, and achievement.
Resident camp is a special long-term activity for the Cub Scouts and Webelos that provides excellent transition from Cub Scout program and Day Camp to the Boy Scout Program and traditional Boy Scout Summer Camp. As the best of both worlds it gets the Scouts used to spending multiple nights in the woods while providing a well structured program full of super activities to keep them busy. In other words it takes the best ingredients of Day Camp and adds to it some of the spices of the Boy Scout program to create a special opportunity for Cub Scouts and Webelos.
