	BALOO: Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation- Introduces Cub Scout leaders and parents to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities, particularly Pack camping. This is required training for any adults conducting Cub Scout Pack outdoor activities. BALOO training will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Camp Rock Enon, Gore, Virginia. Check in is at 8:30AM on the porch of the Trading Post. Training begins at 9:00am and should conclude by 5:00pm. Lunch is included. Uniform is the class A uniform of your registered program. $15 early registration fee by 2/22/13. $30 registration fee by 3/8/13. Registration ends 3/8/13.  
 

	Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills- Outdoor skills are critical to the success of the Scouting program. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills provides adult leaders with the basic outdoor skills and information needed to run the program right. The program focuses on skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences. This Training is required for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Varsity Team Coaches and assistants, and is also ideal for Venture Crew Leaders and WEBELOS Den Leaders and assistants as well as anyone interested in gaining outdoor skills. It will be held Friday, March 22 through Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Camp Rock Enon, Gore, Virginia. Check in will begin at 5:00pm on Friday. Training begins promptly at 7:00pm. Supper will not be served Friday, please plan accordingly. Please make every effort to arrive at camp as early as possible, allowing time to prepare campsites before dark. Participants will be asked to prepare a snack for cracker barrel, all other meals are provided, except supper on Friday. Participants will be assigned to patrols for the Outdoor session during Leader Specific Training. Uniform is the class A uniform of your registered program. PLEASE NOTE: A copy of your BSA Medical form is required for this event and must be turned in at check in. A list of equipment needed is attached with this form. $40 early registration fee by 2/22/13. $55 registration fee by 3/8/13. Registration ends 3/8/13.

	Refunds: All individual refunds are to be requested in writing, and can be sent by mail, email, or fax.  Refund requests made more than one week after an event will NOT be considered.  When the request is received in relation to the start of the event, camp or activity there will be a determination as to the amount of the refund.  Fees may be applied to another individual attending the same event, camp or activity if arranged prior to the event.  Fees cannot be rolled-over to a future event or activity.  A $5 cancellation fee, per person, will be subtracted from ALL refunds to cover processing costs.  This General Refund Policy applies to all camps, events and activities of the Shenandoah Area Council, BSA unless otherwise stated. Refunds requested due to medical reasons and other unforeseen circumstances will be reviewed on an individual basis and may require additional documentation.

		30 days or more – Full Refund, less $5 cancellation fee.
	
		15-29 days – 75% Refund, less $5 cancellation fee.
	
		8-14 days – 50% Refund, less $5 cancellation fee.
	
		4-7 days – 25% Refund, less $5 cancellation fee.
