Service Opportunities

Scouting for Food – The Shenandoah Area Council’s good turn for our communities.

Thousands of Scouts from across the Shenandoah Area Council participate in the annual Scouting for Food drive.  This annual service project is held the first Saturday (pass out bags/door hangers) and second Saturday (collect food) of November.  In 2010 more than 100,000 lbs. of food were collected to support the different local food banks found throughout our area.  This is the Shenandoah Area Council’s annual “Good Turn” event!
