Outdoor skills are critical to the success of the Scouting program. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills provides adult leaders with the basic outdoor skills and information needed to run the program right. The program focuses on skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences. This training is required for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Varsity Team Coaches and assistants and is also idea for Venture Crew Leaders and WEBELOS Den Leaders and assistants as well as anyone interested in gaining outdoor skills. All meals included except Friday dinner.
Checkin will be at 5pm on Friday.
Start Time is 7pm on Friday.
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills is conducted as a Boy Scout Troop/Patrol experience using the Patrol Method. Patrol assignments will be made during checkin.
Each Patrol will be assigned to its own campsite. Family members and person from the same Scout Unit may be assigned to different Patrols. This may preclude the sharing of camping gear.
A copy of your BSA Medical Form parts A&B is required for this event and must be turned in at check. Click HERE if you do not already have a copy of your medical form.
