Dear Friend of Scouting:

On behalf of our youth members and adult volunteers, I want to personally thank you for your gift to our Friends of Scouting campaign.  Because of your commitment, the Shenandoah Area Council has been able to impact our local community.  Collectively, Scouts across our council have given more than 190,000 hours of volunteer service and collected more than 70,000 pounds of food for the needy.  Based on the national volunteer hour value, that translates into more than $4.1 million dollars given back to our local nine-county area through Scouting.

Our ability to help children develop self-confidence, leadership skills, and to learn and grow into productive adults in a safe environment have not changed and will never change.  I am thankful for your continued support and trust in our local programs.

As one of the largest and most effective youth development organizations, I know that with your help, the Shenandoah Area Council will continue to inspire youth with our message of always doing your best, learning by doing, and making good choices over one’s lifetime.    Thousands of lives will be touched due to your generous gift.  More information about our council and its programs, camps and services can be found at www.sac-bsa.org.

We are fortunate to have your support and will work hard to warrant your continued trust and involvement.  Thank You.

Sincerely,

Stuart A. Williams
