To All Shenandoah Area Council Units, Scouters and Parents,

Exciting news! We are opening Camp Rock Enon to family camping and day events.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer troop camping yet at Rock Enon but families can go camping there, and units can have day events.

Effective September 1, 2020 the following camping and activities are permitted at Camp Rock Enon.

Family Camping:

  • Scouting families with youth and/or adults currently registered as members of the Boy Scouts of America will be permitted to rent a campsite at Camp Rock Enon for overnight camping. This is restricted to immediate family members only, with one family per campsite.  There must always be at least one family member age 21 or older present . For more information, rates or to reserve a campsite or cabin go to . As a reminder no animals or alcohol will be allowed – it’s still a Scout camp.

Day-Only Activities:

  • Small to large groups (not to exceed 250 total people in camp) will be permitted to come to Camp Rock Enon to participate in organized programs and activities such as our upcoming Cub Family Fun Day on Sept. 26, Outdoor Cooking Challenge for Webelos, Scouts BSA and Venture Crews on Oct. 3, or the Open Activities weekend for Scouts BSA on Oct. 24, just to name a few.

  • Individual Scouting Units can make reservations to use CRE for small group day-only Unit organized outdoor activities.

We look forward to seeing you at Camp Rock Enon real soon. For more information please go to the Council website at or contact our Camp Ranger at 540-858-2551 or .
