The Shenandoah Area Council, BSA

Headquartered in Winchester, Virginia

The Shenandoah Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America includes 3 counties in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia (Morgan, Berkeley & Jefferson), 6 counties in the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia (Frederick, Clarke, Shenandoah, Warren, Rappahannock & Page), 2 counties in Pennsylvania (Fulton & Franklin), and 1 county in Maryland (Washington). The Council headquarters is in Winchester, Virginia and a secondary Scout Shop is located in Hagerstown, Maryland. The Council is comprised of four (4) service districts known as Potomac, Shawnee, Shenrapawa, and Mason Dixon (see map on the page for reference).

The Council staff members providing support to our Charter Partners, Units, Leaders & Scouting families. In addition to our council staff, nearly 1,000 volunteers provide quality Scouting experiences for over 2,500 youth and their families every year. Over 100 local organizations charter use of the Scouting program in over 150 units.
