Camping & Activities for Scout Units

Are you looking for a place for your pack, troop, or crew to hold a weekend campout, hike or other outdoor activity?  

  • The Shenandoah Area Council has two campgrounds to choose from, both with campsites and cabins available for rent by a Scouting unit, family or outside groups, perfect for weekend overnight camping activities.  
    • Camp Rock Enon - 292 Rock Enon Springs Rd., Gore, Virginia 22637
      • 900 acres 25 minutes west of Winchester Virginia off of Route 50
    • Camp Sinoquipe - 677 Boy Scout Rd, Fort Littleton, Pennsylvania 17223
      • 500 acres  in Fulton County, minutes off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike
  • We can also help you organize an activity, using our facilities, equipment and even provide certified instructors and supervison. Not all activities are available at both camp properties.

Are you interested in hosting an event and looking for a location to hold the event? 

Weddings, Court of Honor, Retreat, Training Program or Corporate Retreat, Youth Camps

  • Camp Rock Enon and Camp Sinoquipe are available for rent by both Scouting and non-Scouting groups as well. 

Please Note: 

Campsites, Cabins and other facilities must be reserved in advance and are on a first come first serve basis. For instructions on how to use the Shenandoah Area Council Tentaroo reservation system download the instruction sheet below.  

  • Both camps are closed to outside use for the Summer camp season from June 1 to July 31
  • Some dates are blocked because of a scheduled council Scouting activity. 
  • Water in campsites is turned OFF Late October thru late March.  

Remember Camp Rock Enon and Camp Sinoquipe are a Scout camp, NO Pets, Alcohol, Illegal Drugs or Personal firearms are permitted. For a complete list of camp rules and policies please download and read the OFF SEASON CAMPING GUIDE before you make a reservation or arrive at camp. You are responsible to know and follow all rules and policies while at camp along with the BSA Guide To Safe Scouting. Failure to follow these rules and policies will result in being removed from camp property without any refund.
